Qualifications

• Certifications: Cisco CCNP or equivalent qualification.
• Advantages: Additional CCNP specializations or higher-level certifications, certifications from Meraki, Fortinet, Juniper, or comparable vendors.
• Networking fundamentals: Advanced knowledge in switching and routing (STP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs), design and operation of enterprise networks, structured and methodical troubleshooting.
• Cloud Networking: Knowledge in cloud integration with AWS and/or Azure, knowledge of cloud network architectures.
• Collaboration & Responsibilities: Close cooperation with the Network Team Lead in implementing agreed network projects and operational improvements, ensuring that established technical standards, configurations, and processes are correctly applied at all managed locations, monitoring the progress of ongoing network activities, and proactively communicating status, risks, and deviations, collaborating with teams from Infrastructure, Security, Cloud, and local IT support, actively participating in an international and multicultural IT team, supporting knowledge sharing as well as the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, coordinating implementation measures, and overseeing and communicating their proper execution.
• Personal competencies: Structured and analytical problem-solving approach, ability to communicate technical contexts clearly, strong team skills, high sense of responsibility and implementation strength, ability to coordinate activities across different locations, clear and professional communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, proactive and continuous willingness to learn, ability to collaborate successfully in international teams, independent working style in a global environment.
• Language skills: German: at least B2, ideally C1, English: at least B2.

Experience

• Wi-Fi & Network Access: Practical experience with 802.1X as well as RADIUS and NAC integrations, ability to analyze and resolve complex Wi-Fi issues.
• SD-WAN & VPN: Experience or solid knowledge in SD-WAN solutions, ideally Meraki AutoVPN, site-to-site VPN for location networking, remote access VPN solutions, integration of third-party firewalls.
• Network Security: Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, or comparable firewalls, knowledge of network segmentation and security policies.
• Operations & Scalability: Managing multi-site environments with ideally more than 20 locations, utilizing templates, automations, and measures to prevent configuration deviations, experience in international corporate environments, implementing and tracking network initiatives and standards that were defined in collaboration with the Network Team Lead, ensuring consistent implementation of network designs, configurations, and operational processes across multiple sites, transparent communication of progress, risks, and technical challenges to relevant stakeholders.
• Professional experience: Conducting network migrations, for example from Catalyst / ASA to Meraki or comparable modern platforms, rollout and operation of network infrastructures at multiple locations, handling and resolving critical network issues with direct impact on business operations, coordinating network implementations across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with defined network standards and architecture specifications, tracking and validating successfully implemented network changes and deployments.
