Job Profiles in Focus: The Frontend Developer

The front-end developer of a company plays a crucial role in the success of the website, as he is sometimes responsible for making it easy to navigate and ensures that it is user-friendly. Likewise, he creates dynamic web pages, such as animations and games. Creating text fields, forums and navigation of the website, is also part of the duties of a front-end developer. They also develop templates, applications and pages using programming languages such as CSS, JavaScript and HTML. The work requires collaborative work with other members from the development department.

A majority of Frontend Developers have a degree in Computer Science or Computer Science or a similar field. They must be able to code in multiple languages to design web interactions that engage the user. Much of the work involves putting yourself in the shoes of the end user to be able to translate requirements into a suitable design.

Since the web changes and updates frequently, the front-end engineer must also be able to keep up with testing and updates to the site. As mentioned earlier, the role often requires collaboration with other programmers such as back-end engineers and additional technical staff.

In addition to building the website with other technical staff, the Frontend Engineer often works with the marketing team to create pages and features that conform to the company brand.
