As the highest administrative body in the Austrian federal state of Lower Austria, the Niederösterreichische Landesregierung exercises supreme authority and leadership. Its presiding officer is Johanna Mikl-Leitner, who since 2017 has been serving as Head of Government for the second time. In this capacity, she represents Lower Austria to external audiences.
