Job Summary
In this role, you develop advanced AI agents and scalable backend services using Python and TypeScript, design the model serving architecture, and implement automated deployment solutions.

Your role in the team
- You develop and operate agentic systems (multi-step, tool-based AI agents) as well as the underlying retrieval / RAG layer
- You design and implement scalable backend services and APIs using Python and TypeScript / Node.js
- You take ownership of the model serving and routing layer (e.g. multi-model gateways, integration of LLMs, tools, and enterprise data)
- You make AI production-ready by implementing evaluation setups, observability, and automated deployments
- You design clean, modular architectures with clear interfaces and service boundaries
- You actively use modern AI coding tools (e.g. Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) as part of your daily workflow
- You collaborate closely with the Head of AI Products and actively contribute to strategy, implementation, and scaling
Our expectations of you
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Python and TypeScript / Node.js (must-have)
- Proven experience in backend and API development as well as scalable system architectures
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, and agent-based systems — you have shipped solutions to production
- Confident use of AI coding tools and their effective integration into the development workflow
- Solid knowledge of Linux, Docker, and modern Git workflows
- Experience with Azure and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform) is a plus
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or equivalent practical experience
- Very good English skills; German is a plus
- You are self-driven, pragmatic, and focused on delivering results
