Job Summary
In this position, you will design Embedded Linux systems for safety-critical applications, select architectures, engage in hardware development, and maintain the related documentation for innovative projects.
Job Technologies
Your role in the team
- You design and develop embedded Linux systems in a safety-critical environment.
- You select suitable architectures and solution modules.
- You create and check estimates for development efforts.
- You develop and maintain Linux basic services and board support packages.
- You develop close to the hardware - oscilloscopes and soldering irons are not just distant theory for you.
- With your expertise you support project managers and our customers.
- You create and maintain the architecture and software documentation.
Our expectations of you
Education
- Completed higher technical education in computer engineering, embedded systems, mechatronics / robotics, telematics or comparable fields
Qualifications
- Structured way of working from brainstorming to successful implementation
- Several years of experience as an Embedded Linux and/or kernel developer
- Experience with ARM SoCs (such as Jetson, i.MX), Intel architecture, and Yocto Linux
- Ideally experience in process-compliant development for security-relevant applications
- Good knowledge of German and English
