The role of a user experience (UX) designer is to create a customer experience that leads to high loyalty and satisfaction by developing an intuitive and user-friendly product.UX designers use research and good communication skills to fully understand the needs of the end user. UX designers work with product and development teams to create flows, wireframes, storyboards, and prototypes to create a high-quality end product and customer experience.UX designers also more often find that the end user may not be complaining about the basic features of a software or APP, but rather the look and feel, which can all be optimized with skins, stylesheets, and updated layouts or graphics.
UX designers may also be asked to assist with sales collateral or other communications of the product to the public, as they are closest to the needs and desires of target audiences and potential customers.
Essential qualifications for UX designers include creativity, attention to detail, time management, design and programming skills, and technological awareness. Degrees in media design or software engineering are not always required, but will bolster a candidate's resume.
