Education

• Completed IT training or equivalent, relevant professional experience.

Qualifications

• Certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CISSP/CISM/CISA, CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE, Juniper JNCP, Security+) are advantageous.
• Knowledge of transmission and fiber optic technologies, especially in the context of dark fiber infrastructures.
• Independent, solution-oriented work approach as well as willingness for ongoing training and openness to new technologies.
• High sense of responsibility and security awareness, resilience, and good judgment even in critical situations.
• Strong team and communication skills, helpfulness in multidisciplinary teams, as well as an analytical and structured mindset and commitment to stable and secure digital infrastructures.
• Excellent German and English skills, as well as the ability to communicate technical matters clearly and appropriately for the target audience.

Experience

• Extensive professional experience in network and security administration, as well as a strong interest in continuous professional development.
• Excellent knowledge of switching, routing, and complex network environments, ideally complemented by experience with SD-WAN or NAC solutions.
• Experience with firewall, VPN, and network security solutions as well as modern security architectures (e.g., Zero Trust, 2-Node Data Center concepts).
• Experience in regulated environments (ISO27001, NIS1/2) is desirable.
• Experience in operating endpoint, email, and identity security solutions (e.g., EDR, Entra ID, MFA, SSO, IAM/PIM/PAM).
• Knowledge in Security Operations such as Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, Monitoring, SIEM, as well as IDS/IPS; experience with Forensics or Threat Hunting is an advantage.
