Our expectations of you

Education

• Foundation: You have completed IT training (HTL with a focus on IT, University of Applied Sciences/University, or a relevant apprenticeship with Matura).
• Practical experience: Several years of professional experience is a clear advantage, but we also give motivated graduates with a strong technical background a chance.

Qualifications

• Linux expertise: You possess solid knowledge of the GNU/Linux environment, ideally with a focus on Debian.
• Virtualization Expert: You are proficient in handling Proxmox VE as well as Proxmox Backup Server (PBS).
• Network & Security: You have experience with firewalls (OPNsense, nftables, iptables, or UFW) and routing.
• Modern Workplace: You have experience in administering Microsoft 365 as well as Microsoft Intune for Endpoint Management.
• Server software: Knowledge of open-source server software such as nginx, Apache, and MariaDB is standard for you.
• Windows environment: You are familiar with the installation and maintenance of Windows systems.
• Bonus skills: Ideally, you already have experience with VoIP telephony and telephone systems (e.g., FreePBX).

Experience

• Linux Administration: You have extensive, several years of experience in managing GNU/Linux systems, with a focus ideally on Debian distributions.
• Virtualization & Backup: You are experienced in setting up and maintaining virtualization environments with Proxmox VE as well as in securing data using Proxmox Backup Server (PBS).
• Network Infrastructure: You have practical experience in configuring firewalls and routing, especially with OPNsense or similar tools such as nftables and iptables.
• Hybrid working: You are familiar with the installation and maintenance of virtual Windows systems and have experience in managing Microsoft 365 environments.
• Modern Device Management: Ideally, you have already successfully implemented initial projects in the field of Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Management).
• Open Source Stack: Proficient handling of web and database technologies such as nginx, Apache, and MariaDB is part of your standard skill set.
• IT Infrastructure Planning: You have already gained experience in independently planning, implementing, and thoroughly documenting new IT concepts.
• Customer Support: You are experienced in providing direct assistance to users and customers, both remotely and in person on-site.
• Optional specialization: Experience with VoIP solutions and telephone systems (such as FreePBX) perfectly complements your profile.
