Team

Team Size and Functional Breakdown: How big is your Dev/IT team? How is the team structured in terms of functions? The current project team consists of 11 members, including a project manager, a tester, 3 individuals for operations, 4 full-stack developers, and 2 student interns.

Team Organization: The team follows an agile approach with daily team meetings and weekly client meetings. Regular deployments to the test system provide transparency for the client, facilitating quick clarification of questions and uncertainties.

Team Specialties: Close collaboration and mutual assistance enable qualitative and efficient work. Direct and regular contact with the client streamlines the development process and ensures transparency.

Recruiting

Integration into the Recruiting Process: Applicants receive a tour of the office, occasionally having direct interactions with the team. The team leads in the department handle the recruiting process.

Onboarding Process: There is a well-established onboarding process that allows sufficient time for newcomers to familiarize themselves with the company and internal processes. A buddy system supports this process, and concerns can be raised in regular team meetings.

Values Beyond Technical Qualifications: A good team spirit and alignment with the company culture are essential. Personal presentation and communication skills are crucial due to close collaboration with clients. Motivation and initiative are highly valued.

Technologies

Technical Challenges: Challenges include integrating new applications into complex (sometimes old and new) systems and managing diverse communication methods between these systems. Agile development of state-of-the-art applications with extensive technical and business requirements is also a challenge.

Technologies Used: The team works with Angular/React, Java EE, Tomcat, Express, Hibernate, Jenkins & GitLab, Google Cloud, Oracle/MySQL, Swagger, Docker & Kubernetes.
