Devops Engineers are IT professionals who work with system operators, software developers, and other IT team members to create and manage code releases. They are responsible for project planning, developing IT solutions, managing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Once an application or platform is released, they use gap analysis to identify solutions and changes that improve overall performance and usability. These types of software engineers write code and scripts that combine various components into a new solution or program that meets the needs of the business.DevOps Engineers not only focus on the development process, they also work with the operations team to run the programs and monitor day-to-day operations.

DevOps Engineers bridge the gap between Development and Operations. Instead of just focusing on writing code for new programs, they also help regarding "Deployment" and "Daily Operations" to improve function and usability. Their extensive knowledge of the system and the organization helps them develop solutions that meet both internal and external requirements.

The ideal DevOps Engineer candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of many different open source tools and technologies. They can write code and scripts quickly and have experience with IT operations and systems. Ability to use automation tools is a plus. Experience with code deployment and testing tools is also helpful. A Devops Engineer must also have a strong focus on improving business outcomes through product and program releases.
