The Lower Austria State Administration is continuously looking for motivated individuals to advance digitalization within the administration as well as for citizens and businesses.

The LAD1-Information Technology department provides the central infrastructure for approximately 7,500 workstations across 2 data center locations in Lower Austria.

As part of the ongoing digitalization process, the Lower Austria State Administration offers exciting areas of responsibility utilizing modern technologies.

Application Areas for IT Technicians:

• IT Project Management; Business Analysis
• Planning and executing IT projects for the development and implementation of custom IT applications or standard software.
• Agile Software Development
• Development and testing of modern IT applications for various administrative tasks, utilizing the available hardware and software environment optimally.
• Data Center/Infrastructure Planning, Procurement, and Operation of On-Premise and Cloud Infrastructure according to Best Practices as well as State-of-the-Art Operational and Security Standards
• Purchasing; Equipment; Client Operations; Help Desk
• Testing, deployment, and 1st and 2nd level support of hardware and software; commissioning, maintenance, and management of complex software installations in the workplace environment; preservation or assurance of IT security in the client environment.
• Security Operation Center continuous monitoring and handling of security incidents as well as recording, investigation, and triggering of alarms
• Risk-based Vulnerability Management
