Software Developer

In this position you will work in an 18-person cross-functional team. We are a colorful mix of colleagues from the areas of project management, requirements engineering, software architecture, testing or test automation, development and support. 39% of team members are female and we are between 23 and 50 years old. Some have been working at RUBICON for many years, others are new. You work together with the team on:

1. Analysis of customer requirements
2. Planning the implementation of new requirements
3. Effort estimates
4. Implementation of the planned tasks
5. Fixing bugs
6. Assistance in analyzing support requests

In the first few months you will be looked after by a buddy from the team. He or she is your first contact during the induction phase and usually has the same or a similar job. There is an intensive introduction into the technical world of our customer as well as into the technical aspects of the application. Our detailed documentation will also help you with self-study.

This is how we work as a team:

1. We work with agile methods such as Scrum.
2. Most of us work from home two days a week. We like to be in the office Tuesday to Thursday because we have a great breakfast. Remote-only is difficult for us to imagine, but theoretically possible.
3. We release around four times a year. In the respective final phase, a few overtime hours may occur, but this is the exception and can be reduced again in the form of compensatory time.
4. We are proud of the very good working atmosphere in the team. We help each other, even in stressful situations, and if a mistake happens, there is no blame, but we stand by it and work to improve.
